Empowing kids through sewing

Stitch Up Website Assets (3).png

Stitch Up is dedicated to teaching sewing skills to people who don't have access to materials and classes. Sewing was once a widely known and taught skill, but in the past few decades, it has become greatly overlooked in education. Measuring, cutting, designing, and being creative can all be mastered while sewing. Sewing is also relaxing and helps improve mental health. There is no greater satisfaction and confidence boost than making something yourself!

Benefits:

  • Increased creativity

  • Enhance focus

  • Strengthen self-confidence

  • Improve motor skills

About Stitch Up

Stitch-Shops

Noa founded Stitch Up in New York City in February 2024. She took her first sewing class when she was in 2nd grade and was hooked. Noa is now a sophomore in high school, and launched Stitch Up so that more people can feel the same joy and accomplishment from sewing that she gets.

Noa loves designing and making her own clothing (she even made her own Bat Mitzvah dress). She enjoys working with people of all ages and seeing their excitement when they make something of their own. Noa created Stitch Up to volunteer with people who wouldn't normally have the opportunity to sew.
